Description:
The objectives of the course are, among others, to get to know and understand the basic values and rules of responsible conduct of research at all stages of its process, according to local, national and international guidelines. Participants analyze and reflect on the differences and gray areas between good scientific practice, questionable practice, and scientific misconduct. They learn how misconduct can be identified and prevented, how it should be addressed, and the harm it can cause when it occurs as well as learn how to protect their scientific work. They are encouraged to speak to colleagues and designated institutions about their concerns and to use their knowledge when supervising.

- Forms and extent of scientific misconduct
- Documentation, data and source management
- Authorship and publication process
- Supervision as a tool to ensure good scientific practice
- Dealing with scientific misconduct
- Local, national and international guidelines and regulations
