Description:
For scientists and academics, the presentation of the results of their work at international conferences and symposia is an integral part of their successful professional career. Why is it then that at conferences so very often the mere transfer of information rules over an effective and memorable presentation of content?
This workshop focusses not only on rhetorical techniques, language instruments and accuracy, individual rhetorical style and effect but also on the effective use of visuals, so as to learn how to make an impact: as a presenter and with your presentation.
We will take a closer look at the key components of verbal and non-verbal communication.
Input of fresh ideas and comprehensive individual feedback, including video feedback, enable the participants to change behavioral patterns and to work on their individual presentation style so as to appear competent, authentic and convincing.
Preparation:
All participants will be asked to provide the instructor with preliminary information about their presentations by 17th January 2025. Failure to meet this deadline will result in automatic removal from the list of participants.
Each participant is requested to bring a 10-minute presentation (pptx) to the workshop.
With your registration you are required to accept the terms and conditions for participation.
