Whether in a business or in a research team, being able to negotiate effectively leads to solutions and fruitful collaboration.

In this workshop, strategic and communicative skills are trained to make you an even more effective and convincing negotiation partner in any given cross-cultural context.

In the introduction, we will identify issues of negotiation in the world of science & academia. What is there to negotiate? – Bring your personal experience with issues of negotiation from your work context to the workshop for discussion and analysis.

Taking a look at theoretical models of negotiating will then pave the way to the interactive practical part where you will, in role plays and games, work your way through all stages of a successful negotiation: From preparing to negotiate to closing the deal or coming to an agreement.

The aim of this workshop is to give you effective tools at hand for future negotiations that envision success for all parties involved and promote effective communication in the world of science & academia.
